At the track in the Vacation Station!

Its empty now but in a few hours this place will be crawling with alcohol fueled cars and hungry competotors, waiting for their chance at the 1320.
It is a brisk day i would estimate the temp to be about 40 the expected high today is 56-60 so it will be nice and cool and clear blue skies.
My husband went a few rounds yesterday. Hopefully today will be better. He's driving someone else's car and not his own as he is experiencing motor problems. But it should be back together pretty soon we hope. The vacation station is operating at peak performance. I just finished cleaning up from scrambled eggs and sausages that were made by my husband.
Yesterday was a hard day for the dogs I had to leave the track and take them to go to the vet they had their yearly physicals and had to get blood drawn and my little girl Yorkshire terrier Dolly had to have a shot. So she's pretty stiff this morning. Just to be clear we are at Richmond Dragway www
Richmonddragway.com for the Collision1- 10 K Grand Slam.

Cleaning day in the vacation station

We have a 3 day weekend coming up and I thought I'd go ahead and get in here and clean from top to bottom. Notice the Dixie cup sitting on the counter that is full of joyful cleaning potion. I want at pictures from this past weekend unfortunately we didn't take the RV but we did have a fun time at the racetrack. Hubby went 4 rounds that's the whole point in racing is making some rounds and having fun while you're doing it!

I knew it when we left....

I came back with the worst cold ever. We left Friday and i knew my "cold" would kick into full gear while we were gone. Well it did and I had a rough time. My hubby's dragster had transmission issues, and the fella that met us down there had a water pump problem. He fixed the water pump then on the way home that poor guy's truck broke down. If it wasn't a learning weekend then it was just determined to make you mad! Sleeping in the RV the first night was rough. Very different from my home bed and i was ill on top of that. The second night wasn't so bad, but i was ill and tired.
After all of the little blah parts i did enjoy being able to take my fur babies and ride around on the golf cart....here is a picture of the rv with trailer where we were parked...

Getting ready for the maiden voyage

We have many people at our house trying to work out the kinks and answer questions we may have before we head to Dunn NC to a dragstrip for the weekend.

Still Setting up and discovering .....

Well this past weekend we were able to get in there and really get into the working of the Coach. I bought a new dvd player and replaced the old VCR that was left in there (so many wires). I  had to get an RF modulator to convert the basic bandwidth to a radio bandwidth (military signal training came into play on this one). I go tthe DVD player working on both TV's and it looks fantactic. Now I need to install a separate dvd player in the bedroom unit so we are not subject to watch what's on up front.

The refrigerator was not working, so hubs went in there yesterday and fiddled with it and said he got it to work and it was on. One of those mysteries we'll probably have to solve in the middle of no where.

Got some food stowed for the humans and the fur babies. Put a crock pot in the cabinet, and spices for some gourmet RV cookin! We had our first meal in there Friday night. It was Arby's.

This weekend I believe we will start to get everything running, such as the water and the plumbing. I made hubby promise that if we were near a facility with "facilities" he would make use of that, instead of the RV "storage".

I'm not sure when our first trip will be but I'm sure to take and post lots of pics when we do.  ;)

We are still getting things set up....

Our coach is in the process of being loaded with all the necessary gadgets and gizmos  that will make it's our home away from home. I am still learning and reading as much as I possibly can so that I can help with the RV experience instead of leaving it up to my husband to remember to do everything. Here are a few pictures of our rig. I think we're going to give it a test run before we actually taking on a trip just to make sure that we have everything that we need. I'm thinking of things everyday that I might need. That's one of my worst fears is to go somewhere and be like oh my gosh I just forgot my toothbrush or something like that.
But just f.y.i this will be a little documentation of our trips an hour adventures that we go on an RV and our family.
